The end of another year gives us time to reflect on all that has been accomplished, and what a year it has been!
We have welcomed a new staff member, Jenny, who has taken on the role of managing and growing our Melton Centre; our members have helped to create a beautiful community garden space at Oakham Fire Station - supporting them with their poppy display and Christmas Shoebox Appeal; members have taken part in several therapeutic activities from chair yoga to meditation, tai chi to art and craft workshops, and we’ve had the pleasure of welcoming over 100 members of our local communities to our centres, offering them a safe and welcoming space, free from judgement, pressure or expectations.
As we look to the year ahead, we hope to continue adding new activities, improve the furnishings in our newer Melton centre, promote to more rural communities and increase our volunteer team. After seeing the huge benefits this year, a key goal for us in 2024 will be to host several training opportunities for our members and volunteers.
Thank you for your wonderful support, donations, referrals and promoting the wonderful work we do with our members. We are so very grateful and look forward to an exciting 2024.
